The Municipal Museum, now the Museum of West Bohemia, was constructed based on architect Josef Škorpil’s Neo-Renaissance designs in 1893–1902. One of its most interesting features is a municipal armoury and Gothic rifle collection of European significance.
Take a look in the main entrance hall of the museum and try to light the original arc lamps. These were constructed by František Křižík, an inventor who settled in Pilsen after he completed his studies. He received a gold medal for his arc lamp at the Paris World Expo in 1881.
