Bang in the centre of the upmarket development west of the river, and just a few tramstops from the old town, the glittering facilities at Andel's will blind you with their high-technicity. Top-notch accommodation with designer lines.

An excellent value design hotel situated on the western side of the river in the up-and-coming Smichov district. Well-located for public transport it's no more than a 10 minute ride [or a 30 minute walk] into the historic centre. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity and a very handy 24h Tesco in the new shopping centre over the road. The hotel itself is clean and modern and the rooms are bright & airy with effective air-conditioning [it was 30C when I was there]. Complimentary bathrobes, slippers and refreshments are provided and I was upgraded to the Club Floor where I was given the choice of a smoking or non-smoking room. The bathroom was of a high standard with both a bath and glass-enclosed stall shower. Great buffet-style breakfast with plenty of hot and cold dishes on offer. I'm fortunate enough to have been to Prague many times and, overall, this is certainly the best value hotel I've stayed in. Just be aware that if you're visiting the city for the first time you may prefer to stay closer to the action in the Old Town but if you're after a great hotel at a great price in a decent Czech neighbourhood then definitely consider here.
