Between Paleckého and Železnični bridges at the old steamer landing is this shipping company that offers various cruises. Historic paddle steamer round trip to the beautiful town of Mělník where the Vltava and Labe merge (29 July to 26 Aug, dep. 07:00, 250/490Kč). Alternatively, hitch a ride on the longest uninterrupted sailing route - 135 years - to the lovely lake at Slapy dam (1 May to 2 Sept, dep. 09:00, 340/170Kč). The zoo boat has just received a bright new lick of paint and it and others take 75 minute trips to Troja (09:30, 12:30, 15;30) and from Troja (11:00, 14:00, 17:00) travelling under Karlův most, around the Holešovice bend to the fairly rural Troja section of the Vltava (120/60Kč or 200/100Kč return daily from 30 Apr to 16 Sept and Sat, Sun & holidays only from 31 Mar to 29 Apr & 17 Sept to 28 Oct) . Probably the best tour cruise of them all is their 90 min one way route (dep. 15:30 daily from 16 Mar to 4 Nov, 290/140Kč) up to Vyšehrad, then back through the lock and down to Chechův most. The 55 minute cruise (departs each hour from 11:00 - 18:00 from 31 Mar to 16 Sept, 190/90Kč) takes in all the sights. Lunch and dinner sails can be organised with groups of 20 or more. Then we have disco boats - which sail from 20:00 - 11:30 and then moor from 11:00 to 02:00 (100Kč).
