The Wallenstein Gardens may have a lot of rules, but the lack of human and canine detritus adds to their beauty. Famous for the peacocks, the cavern-like folly (look for phallic and serpentine motifs) and the biggest fish we’ve seen in a while – ducklings often have to make a sharp exit to avoid being nibbled. An owlery, beautiful frescoes and benches galore for whiling away sunny afternoons. Look for the secret entrance next to the metro exit.

These gardens are beautiful - the statuary in particular. Look out for the white peacock and his harem of hens.
