Originally built as a cannon tower, the Powder Tower unfortunately never got to showcase its prowess. It was put to use as the home of Tomáš Jaroš, best known for designing the Singing Fountain located in the Royal Gardens. The tower was also used as an alchemist’s workshop during Rudolf II’s reign and as a storage for gunpowder, hence its common name. Visiting today, you can see an exhibition on the Castle Guard.
