Mustafa Ali Gallery

  Tal Al-Hajara Street 86      +963 966 099 900     10 Apr 2026
An intriguing art gallery in a beautiful 300-year-old Jewish trader's house, presenting the works of Lattakia-born sculptor and painter Mustafa Ali, who has spent decades turning metal, wood and other materials into elegant artworks. The affable artist is often in attendance and is happy to talk about his life and works.
Curiously enough, Mustafa Ali Gallery also functions as a low-budget hotel. It offers basic double rooms for $20 per night, and although travellers tell us there's reliable hot water, there's only intermittent electricity and no heating in the winter. Strictly for the bring-your-own-toilet-paper crowd.
