Located in a 1920s French-colonial townhouse, Zawaya Art Gallery is a vibrant cultural hub. The name translates to "corners," reflecting a mission to embrace every medium from painting and sculpture to film and performance. Since opening in 2019, it has become a vital salon for emerging Syrian artists, offering exhibitions, a cinema and book club, theater, live music, lectures, discussions and workshops. Beyond the art, the space provides a library and late-night co-working desks for students.
