A cosy and convivial Chinese-run hostel in a historical Damascene house, found in the warren of narrow souk streets near the Al-Tawbah Mosque just north of the old town. Dorm beds are $15, private double rooms $35, all with use of a communal kitchen. Breakfast is not included, but can be arranged. Bike rental is available for $3 per day. It's best to contact the hostel in advance to reserve a bed or room.
