EDAH Museum

  Oostende 167, Helmond      (+31) 641 19 14 91     more than a year ago

One of the biggest supermarkets in the Netherlands closed its last shop in 2007, but its 'cultural inheritance' is still visible in the small town of Helmond just outside Eindhoven. For 90 years this was the home base of EDAH, but today you can take a trip down memory lane at this museum, which is partly designed to look like a supermarket. Lots of household memorabilia is on display and although the descriptions are only available in Dutch, most of the items speak for themselves.
