Although having dinner in a venue that regularly hosts concerts doesn't usually sound appealing, especially when you're looking for a good evening meal, we'll gladly make an exception for the Effenaar, a restaurant that's been surprising Eindhoven's culinary scene for decades. The menu isn't extensive, but the quality of the food and the variety of the original dishes makes up for this small shortcoming, not to mention the tasty vegetarian options. If the music is a bit too loud, just let the friendly staff know and they'll go well out of their way to help out. If we were to give an award for 'best organic house wine in the city', this place would win hands down, but if you’re more into beer, enjoy one of its excellent brews in these open, industrial surroundings.
