Van der Valk is a respected name in the Dutch accommodation industry, but this Eindhoven location is a tale of two hotels. The much older concrete structure offers large, outdated rooms begging to be upgraded, while the accommodation in the adjoining tower is both modern and, dare we say, stylish. The tower also provides views of its vast green surroundings and a hockey complex, not to mention the nearby highway. With three restaurants, a swimming pool and a modern conference centre, travellers seldom have a reason to leave.
