The very first public gallery in Bath, the Holburne Museum was opened to the people of the city way back in 1882, opening up the personal collection of Royal Navy officer Sir William Holburne for all to see. Some of the world’s most beloved artists are featured inside, and the Sydney Gardens location also provides a little bit of Jane Austen history to add to the tour. Before you ask, of course the gallery is located in a beautiful building — this is Bath we’re talking about.
