Home to some of Estonia’s tallest trees, Järveselja is a small village of about 50 inhabitants near Lake Peipsi. The spectacular forests and wetlands of the area are well known both at home and abroad for their unspoiled beauty and richness of wildlife species. Since 1921, the village has also played host to a centre for forestry study and research.
