The University of Tartu Art Museum is located in the historic Main Building of the university and features a Pompeian-style interior. The museum's permanent collection primarily features sculptures: life-size plaster cast copies of exceptional ancient Greek and Roman pieces. Furthermore, the Art Museum displays a variety of original ancient artifacts, including coins, vases, clay lamps, and cuneiform tablets.
