Every city needs a main square, and Old Great Square ticks that box for Turku. You’d expect it to as well, what with such an impressive name, and both the ‘old’ and the ‘great’ are certainly justified when it comes to this spot. This has been the epicentre of the city since the city was born, a place of trade and development as well as being a hugely important spot for socialising and gossip. A whole heap of stunning buildings ring the square, including Brinkkala Mansion, the Old City Hall, Juselius Manor and others.
