Forty Kleparz

Making use of a neglected, oft-unnoticed 19th century Austrian bastion north of the Old Town (officially known as 'Bastion III' or 'Fort Kleparski') Forty Kleparz has emerged as one of Kraków's best and most unique destinations for live music and club nights. Drawing an impressive number of quality national and foreign artists to its stage since opening, the 200 person concert hall possesses modern professional sound and lighting while the areas flanking it feature plenty of chic seating, screens for viewing the action on-stage and two bars. Open Thursday to Saturday and during events only, check online to see what's happening, and don't be surprised if it's several events at once (the place is that big). To get there take tram number 18 or bus number 179 to the Nowy Kleparz stop.
