Gdansk Remontowa is still a busy, working yard and for those interested to see ships of all sizes in different stages of repair or construction, you might be interested in taking a trip up to a couple of streets running next to the shipyard and the river where you'll be able to see men working on ferries sitting in dry dock and even oil rigs in various stages of repair. Take tram number 7 to the 'Swojska' stop just before the PGE Arena. You'll need to walk about 10-15 minutes from there to get to the riverside but you do get a close up look at what used to go on throughout the shipyard area.
