Barbara Hoff. Polish Design. Polish Designers

Jul 6 - Feb 9 2020       ul. Zawiszy Czarnego 1, Gdynia
The exhibition in Gdynia City Museum’s Polish Design Polish Designers series presents Barbara Hoff, the iconic fashion designer for Poles  at the time of Socialism.  Originally a fashion writer for the weekly cult magazine Przekrój, she became in later years the unique fashion designer, famous for her fashionable mass production
Hoffland clothing brand sold in Domy Towarowe Centrum (Centrum Department Stores). Her cult Hoffland designs allowed Poles to dress colourfully, originally and inexpensively despite the grey surroundings of the Socialist era. The exhibition will feature numerous, often previously unpublished archival materials: drawings, designs, photos, films from fashion shows, and the designer's original brand clothing.

Open 10:00-17:00. Thu 12:00-19:00, Closed Mon. Jul 6 2019 - Feb 9 2020
