Textile art is one of the oldest forms of art in human civilization, going back to prehistoric times. At the beginning of its long history, textiles were seen as a utility rather than something that serves no discernible function aside from aesthetics. And while this is still the case today, visionary creatives have helped the art continually reinvent itself. The exhibition presents  50 textile miniatures chosen from 324 artworks submitted to 11th Baltic Mini Textile competition by 155 international artists. These miniatures are closely related to an artistic quest in the modern art. The constant exploration of materials and techniques involved in the art creation, and particularly their scale, make these artworks quite unique.
