Marmorpalais

Built in the years 1787-1791 by the man who also designed the Brandenburger Tor in Potsdam, the early classicist Marble Palace on the shore of Heiliger See (Holy Lake) was the preferred summer residence of the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm II (1744-1797). The fine furnishings and wares on exhibit include Wedgewood ceramics. From Potsdam Central Station take tram N°92 or 96 to Reiterweg/Alleestraße, then bus N°603 to Cecilienhof Palace.
