Originally built in 1825, the stunning Glienicke Palace underwent extensive surgery in 1995 to recreate its original splendour, and we can safely say that it was a job well done. This is the sort of place to visit when daydreaming is required, when all one wants is to wander around a collection of grand gardens and dream of being a 19th century royal in the heart of Europe. You don’t do that? Give it a go, seriously. Glienicke Palace is one of the finest park and palace combinations around.
