A great place to hit before or after seeing a movie at the nearby English cinema (Turm-Palast), Alex offers a retro diner-like atmosphere with a bit of an upscale twist. Part of a large chain, diversity seems to be their speciality. Our favourite is the cheap breakfast buffet and the oversized sandwiches. They also have a fantastic ice cream selection, and a complete cocktail menu, all in English.
