Apparently one of the best-known exhibition galleries in the world, these two former market halls make up some 6,000m2 of exhibition space. Deichtorstr. 1 is given over to contemporary art, whilst Deichtorstr. 2 focuses primarily on photography, although at the time of writing it was showing a wonderful Charlie Chaplin retrospective complete with photographs and films.
