A fine restaurant and Biergarten set in and around a quaint building deep inside the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, there can’t be many more picturesque eating options than the excellent Kaskadenwirtschaft Grischäfer. Regional fare dominates a menu that is also punctuated with plenty of international highlights, each dish cooked with care and creativity in equal measure. As far the combination of location and taste go, it doesn’t get much better than this. Tram 1 to Besucherzentrum Wilhelmshöhe, then use the Shuttle Box phone by the kiosk to summon the free shuttle bus.
