The 'station of culture' puts Kassel's oversized main train station to good use since most long-distance services moved to the new station away from the city centre in 1992. It consists of the Bali cinema, two small museums, galleries, a conference centre and the Gleis 1 restaurant and bar, all in between the regular station facilities.
