Meçite Mosque & Hamam

Rr. Jonuz Cuci     more than a year ago
The sad remains of an elegant 17th-century mosque with a stump of a minaret can be seen along the road beneath the castle - it was partially destroyed during the atheist campaigns of the late 1960s. Several of the seven fountains that were used for ritual washing still function, and around the corner on Rruga 7 Kronjte, a hamam with two elegant domes also remains.
