Merchant City Quarter

more than a year ago
If you're seriously into designer labels the Merchant City won't disappoint. Cruise is the city’s flagship designer boutique, labels include classics like Prada, Dior, Gucci, Boyd, Marni for women, and Dries van Noten, Neil Barrett and Vivienne Westwood for men. Accessories lines are good too: from the latest Chloé and Luella bags and Miu Miu shoes, to Oliver Sweeney, Gucci and Prada Sport shoes for guys. Cruise Jeans across the road is packed with designer denim and street wear labels: think Juicy Couture, Evisu, For All Mankind and Buddhist. Meanwhile cult Italian brand Replay’s   Scottish flagship store stocks a range of guys, girls and kids clothing. While slouchy jersey tops and cool separates are always a winner at All Saints, which does great simple street wear.
If it’s Italian tailoring you’re after look no further than Ingram Street’s Italian Centre which houses Emporio Armani. With a presence in the city for over ten years, it's the place to go for luxuriously minimal classics from simple white tees to  wide pants and that LBD. Other timeless brands in this quarter include the newly revamped Jaeger as well as some classic Ivy League styles at Ralph Lauren while Mulberry has just opened its new store. Globally renowned for its handcrafted accessories, Mulberry has a dedicated fan base worldwide, and this new space offers the complete ranges of covetable leather goods for both men and women.
There are lots of little independent boutiques to buy affordable one-offs in the Merchant City, from directional pieces at Che Camille to vintage emporiums Mr Ben's and Brigitte . Brazen specialises in jewellery, while luxurious Parisian haberdashery can be marvelled at in V.V. Rouleaux, which is a Pandora’s Box of sumptuous ribbons, bows and beads and facinators.
