Currumbin Beach

more than a year ago

Currumbin Beach is another of the Gold Coast’s renowned natural attractions, with its unique mix of a quiet creek, family-friendly lagoon, and quality surfing providing a variety of water sport options, and there are many other attractions all within a short drive. Currumbin Creek is ideal for stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking, while the lagoon makes a clean and safe play area for kids The beach itself has a right-hand surf break that we’re told is great for longboard riders, although we prefer fishing for bream. Local attractions include Surf World Gold Coast, Queensland’s only surfing museum, the outstanding Laguna Park play area for kids, and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can see all of Australia’s most iconic animals in their natural habitats. Less crowded than many of Gold Coast's more famous beaches, but still with plenty of dining options, Currumbin Beach makes an excellent getaway for all the family.
