Tucked away off the main strip in Broadbeach, Nero offers casual fine dining, a white tablecloth experience centred on Australian cuisine, but drawing on Spanish and Italian traditions. The share plate menu is quite varied, with monthly changes to the dishes offered, all of which are gourmet affairs, carefully prepared and beautifully plated - a talking point before you take your first bite. But you don't have to take our word for it, as Nero was awarded a prestigious AGFG Chef Hat only five months after opening its doors. Be warned that there are not many tables, so if you fancy something different from the usual surf and turf, be sure to call ahead and make a reservation.
