A lovely park located within easy walking distance (just five minutes) from the National Archaeological Museum, its expansive tree-lined vistas make for a pleasant stroll during the day – there are also numerous impressive statues of Greek War of Independence heroes. However, it is best avoided at night.

A characterised green area - a park in the central Athens neglected and maltreated by the administrations of the Greek State. It served only the purpose to place and erect in its greenery lung in breach building construction works ( soil sealing of marble pavement and reinforced concrete elements ) for the only purpose of the attraction and to show and that have cost to the greek tax payers in destitute more than 15.000.000 $ Euro. ( Eventualy another Financial scandal ) Contract work has never been officialy completed - deliverd and eventualy been aproved.
