Grenoble might be best loved for the Alps that surround it, but sleep on the sightseeing at your peril. There is heaps and heaps and heaps to see here, a little bit of something for everyone and plenty that will tickle the (tourist) tastebuds of all and sundry. The selection of museums and galleries is among the best in the region, while the Bastille (and the route up there) is an absolute show-stealer, the sort of spot that will force you to fall in love with France all over again. That happens on a daily basis in this country, to be fair.
