Corps de Garde

  Oude Boteringestraat 74      (+31) 503 14 54 37     more than a year ago
In a beautiful 17th century guards house beside the former Boteringepoort city gate (marked by a yellow neon light installation), the Corps de Garde is a modest yet wonderful place to spend the night. The interior is a mix of old and new; the charming attic rooms feature ancient wooden beams, while other rooms are modern with high ceilings. Most have showers, a few have bathtubs, but all have TVs and wake-up lights with birdsong. The comfortable lounge has a wall full of art books, and converts to an inexpensive café by day.
