This is the place to go for a swim in Groningen. On sunny days most locals head out to the ​De Papiermolen, which is about 15 minutes bicycle ride from the city centre. Here you'll find everything you'd find by the sea: loud teenagers, beer-chugging construction workers and flirtatious students on the prowl. This giant outdoor swimming pool (heated all year round) has a large grassy patches complete with a café, showers and bathrooms.
