De Uurwerker (The Hour Worker) is by far one of the coolest places in town. Since 2013, this relatively new venue has become a meeting point for Groningen's hipsters (and wannabes). Besides the tasty, dirt cheap meals, this trendy bar/restaurant also offers a wide range of beer and cocktails. A giant secluded terrace with dozens of cosy benches is one of the best places to meet new people on a sunny day and the funky interior is enough reason to drop by. Watching the attractive staff is yet another reason to spend some time in this hidden gem.
