Groningen

Synagoge

Folkingestraat 60     more than a year ago
WW II may have wiped out nearly the entire Jewish population of Groningen, but their most important building survived the horror of the Holocaust. Built in 1906 in a distinctive Moorish style in the heart of the former Jewish quarter, this cruciform building never lost its original charm and was returned to its congregation in 1981. A special interactive programme makes a visit interesting for kids, too.
