Sometimes called the 'green lung of Hanover', this 650-hectare inner city forest is larger than New York's Central Park and offers residents and tourist a tranquil oasis. The northern part of Eilenriede includes a bird sanctuary and the Hannover Zoo. You’ll find meadows, a network of paths and fitness trails as well as numerous monuments and beer gardens.
