Established in 1954, ATOMKI is the Institute for Nuclear Research in Debrecen. That alone makes it worth checking out from afar, but its position within a stone’s throw of Calico Jack Pub makes it even more interesting. Take a snap of the unusual monument outside, then head to the pub and see if you can find a nuclear physicist for a bit of small talk.
