In some respects Csalogány is an old-fashioned place, less interested in one night stands than in forming long term relationships with its customers. You'll see little in the way of flash, only subtle changes in the interior décor: but creativity is given full expression within the pages of the menu. Besides the seasonal menus (Menu I and II) it's worth checking the blackboard, where you'll find deeply discounted lunch menus but also the chef's special of the day. We had the River Tisza pike perch with Jerusalem artichoke and carrot at 2 600 HUF and were ever so glad we did.
