The inner garden of Ybl Palace has underwent quite the transformation a couple of years back, and is now home to one of the better wine bars - and dare we make note of it - nicer courtyards for smokers in town. Naturally, they offer a fine selection of Hungarian wines by the glass, as well as a souped-up Hungarian menu with for example, goulash (1 800 HUF) and chicken pullet with semolina puree, beetroot and black pudding (2 200 HUF), alongside a selection of other main dishes (including pork delicacies, steak, chicken in breadcrumbs, etc). Now all you have to do is wait for Spring to come and this place will really light up again. However, some work needs to put in before then to improve their music selection, which is currently a bit dire.
