Probably the most consistently busy spot for a bite in the revamped Gozsdu Udvar - which we lay claim to be first to call the "Covent Garden of Budapest". Brightly coloured décor and a menu that presents an up-market take on street food: That means well prepared and presented burgers, potato wedges, pork ribs and sandwiches. But also traditional Hungarian hot pies and goulash. Hearty breakfasts too - try the Waldorf steak sandwich for example. Their extensive drinks list includes a goodly selection of Hungarian wine by the glass. There's something redolent of a kind of Happy Days 1950s about Spíler - one that Hungary for the most part missed out on. But it's the kind of place where you really can't go wrong.
