Set in the historic surroundings of Howth Demesne, around 10miles north of Dublin city centre, this unique collection straddles a century of public service and commercial vehicles from 1883. It is divided into five sections; Passenger, Commercial, Utility, Fire & Emergency and Military. Each vehicle - whether horse-drawn or horsepowered, has its own story to tell, none more so than Dublin’s original trams. Run by a group of dedicated volunteers, the museum has sixty vehicles on display, with the rest available to view by prior arrangement. All aboard!

I visited in September 2012. Very interesting for transport aficionados, but a bit cramped. Check opening days/times before you go - they are dependent on volunteers.
