Known as the Garden of Ireland, Wicklow's landscape is simply stunning. Dotte dthroughout the county are picturesque, lovely little towns and villages like Enniskerry, Bray, Glencree and Avoca, while Powerscourt Estate and Glendalough are here too. But the great outdoors are the main attraction, and even though it's just south of Dublin, this is a world away from city living, with a vast expanse perfect for a country drive, bus tour, endless walks, fresh air and wildlife in abundance - the Sally Gap in particular will have your camera working overtime. The scenery is so good it has been used over and over again in films from Braveheart to PS I Love You to Excalibur to Michael Collins, and you can follow the signposted Movie Drives to jog your cinematic memory.
