This gin distillery is tucked into the culturally rich location of Victoria Yards, a space for artisans and makers on the eastern side of the city located in a complex of restored industrial heritage buildings in the gritty suburb of Lorentzville.
Two long-time friends decided to explore their keen interest in distilling and take their hobby into a career. Their mutual passion led to what is now Primal Spirits Distillery.
The gin is made from scratch with great care and fine ingredients grown and sourced within the Victoria Yards complex, including indigenous herbs. At the distillery you will get an opportunity to explore the craft of gin making with these two devoted advocates. To them, making gin is all about meticulous attention to detail and to quality ingredients, and infinite patience that leads to a fine end product. They also make a vodka, using organic wheat (the base spirit of Primal Spirits gins).
Primal Spirits currently makes two signature offerings, both beautifully labelled, which you can order online or buy directly at the distillery. Try the Union gin with an orange twist or the Complex, or best you try both.
