Opened in 2003 the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh was the work of Yuri Kirs, a St. Petersburg architect. A small but faithfully executed example of the design of Russian Orthodox churches, it serves a small Russian congregation. The Church falls under the Patriarchate of Alexandria of Egypt and its domes are all covered in gold leaf. An icon of Christ Pantokrator decorates the central dome while the interior walls display vividly coloured murals.
