Woog is an old dialect word for pond in the Palatinate. The Blechhammer Woog is not open for swimming, like most other Woogs. This is a very quite and lovely spot for walking, picnics or biking. The two ponds are separated by a strip of land with a hotel-restaurant and you can certainly find refreshment there. Bus to Am Hammerweiher.
