World's Clock monument

The World's Clock Monument is a classic Soviet-era creation, shaped like a space capsule and intended to demonstrate the different time zones, which can be found at the southern end of the Lower Pond. Alas, the city clocks around the top no longer work so much of its functional value has been lost (for the moment anyway!) but it certainly captures the zeitgeist of the USSR and the space race.
