The Helios Clinics look back on traditions and their own history. In Kassel it all began more than 140 years ago, with Sophie Henschel, who built the well-known Red Cross Hospital in Kassel. The sisterhood's apartments and the hospital buildings are still standing today. The carrier changed from the 'Rotes Kreuz Krankenhaus' to Helios.

There are two locations of The Helios Kliniken in Kassel. One is almost downtown in Kassel, Wehlheiden and the other on the eat side of the city in Kaufungen. The top modern and highly specialized facilities range from Geriatric traumatology to Visceral medicine.
