National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra led by Lawrence Foster performs Krzysztof Penderecki's  De natura sonoris nr 3, Johannes Brahms' Double Concerto in A minor Op. 102 for violin, cello and orchestra, and Béla Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra.
All three works are mature compositions. Penderecki's work is the last part of the triptych, Brahms' concerto is his last symphonic work, and Bartók's concerto is his last composition before death. The soloists are Pinchas Zukerman (violin), an Israeli-American violinist, violist and conductor. and his wife, Amanda Forsyth (cello). The concert celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
