The year 2020 marks the 125th anniversary of Paweł Steller's birth, an outstanding Silesian graphic artist. Steller was already internationally recognised during his lifetime - often compared to Albrecht Dürer, he painted mostly landscapes and portraits, but he was also fascinated by the harsh mountain landscape, rushing streams, and the beauty of rural cottages. This great fascination with nature was reflected in the delicate, subtle watercolours. Although he was an outstanding graphic artist - the creator of the black-and-white world, he used to say: "It's a relief we have four seasons, each one so rich in colours". The exhibition builds on the existing, permanent exhibition, and presents Paweł Steller's watercolours, woodcuts and drawings, depicting Polish highlanders.
