Lithuanian Aviation Museum

A small collection of memorabilia and some actual aircraft including a home-built helicopter and a handful of rusty albeit interesting machines outside. The emphasis is on fun and education, although sadly most exhibits are in Lithuanian only. The museum can be found on the territory of the S. Darius and S. Girėnas Aerodrome in Aleksotas, whose runway was built during the war using slave labour from the nearby Kovno Ghetto, an important historical fact that the museum fails to include in the section devoted to the place’s history.
